Yard work fun

Since E and his buddy Matt got the kiddos swing set built, it put some motivation for the both of us to start picking up outside!  Now E would rather much do yard work then our weekly deep cleaning inside.   But he mostly does the front yard.  Needless to say the front yard took us hardly anytime.

Having a yard and tree's make for a some what pain in the butt!  Between the front and the back yard we filled 13 bags of leaves up!  So we raked up and filled bags and E mowed the yard.  And now a day later I am completely sore!  But it felt good being outside working together.  I have never done any type of yard work before.  Well I did with my Aunt when I was little which was always a lot of fun but this felt much different lol!

It is real, It does exist.

On days that I venture out on some errands with the Hubs, I sit as he drives and we listen to music to one store to another and I reflect on the day or morning events.  I tend to do that.  Especially at night.   I do this  for many reasons.  But for one in particular I memorize and enjoy and cherish life! Now this year E and I have known each other for 18 years.  But since being in a relationship, I get surprised at how happy I am frequently.  I am not just content or have that in the back of your head feeling of settling for someone (which I have done).  In my last marriage I ended up hiding part of myself.  I am sure I could fill a few blogs on why, but that doesnt really matter.  I ended up not expressing myself or telling things or feeling joy.  I just lived.  With E I have been able to do all that.  I enjoy my life, usually every night before bed we have our quiet time to tell each other things, desires, wants, needs, ect and I dont have to hide my opinion I get to express myself (im not afraid too, I can say things to him knowing he may not like it and im not scared of his reaction, plus the expressing happy things, he gets to be happy with me or for me).  I also have been able to be silly.  Dancing and singing, the type of things you dont usually do when anyone is home.  Yeah E see's me do that all the time and we laugh.

I wouldnt want anyone to settle or think that this is as good as it will ever be.  I have done that and I am so blessed that I was still able to find my soul-mate.  I hope all the single people do not give up on there fairy tale ending because it is real.

I cant tell you enough how E has been my rock and how he has done for me what I could never do for him ( as much as I wish I could say that I would have done the same for him were the roles reversed (in the beginning of our relationship)I am not completely sure I could have)  I mentioned of fb not to long ago, how he told me that it doesnt matter that I could or couldnt do that for him, thats not what he needed and how I am in my own way exactly the person he needed when he needed it the most.  I cant express enough in words how amazing it is that we fit each other.  My mom told me once that we needed to be with the person that makes us feel good about each other and how that person makes you wanna be a better person and brings out the best in you.  Ethan and I do that for each other.

Baby Food Adventures!

I decided to give it a try.  I am gonna start trying to make the twins, baby food.  Instead of buying the jars.  It totally sucks having to get like 20-30 baby food jars for just one week.  Plus I have to double that since I have twins!!!  I figured this cant be to hard blending it up and all.  We shall see how long I can stick with this.  It will definitely save us money too.  I have already started blending.

Its not that bad as you think it would be.  You know after you let them try one thing for awhile and then eventually I will be able to blend the food we eat  for ourselves and not have to make a whole separate dish for the girls.  Hopefully soon I will be able to set up a day of making the girls a big batch and freeze it and take out just what I need for the day!

This morning we went to a farmers market and got a few things to start!  In the pictures I started with zucchini and mango's!  Plus tomorrow I will finish out the rest of the stuff we got this morning.  Sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans.  The girls have already had banana's, apples, peaches and carrots.  So we are gonna have a few new things to try soon.  (Which with Clara the Pediatrician said to introduce new things for 4 days before we try another new thing so we can see what has a bad reaction) So for lunch today we did the Zucchini and in 4 days I will give the Mango's a go! One of the Tupperware bowls is enough for one feeding for both girls!

The things we use to do

Do you find yourself doing things that your family did.  You know like things you saw your mom/dad or Aunts do when you were younger?

My aunt, she loved her tea and toast for breakfast.  Without fail she would have that every morning.  Depending on what my Aunt brought to her the type of bread.  I know one of her favorite breads, was Rye bread.  I cant for the life of you tell you why I never had any.  I am if you know me well one of those girls that will try anything once and I dont recall ever trying this bread before.  My husband loves Rye bread.  He picked some up this last week and omg its amazing!

I remember one summer in California that I was not feeling well.  Right behind my ears hurt, it was swelling a little.  Now I dont know if I just wanted a snack or my aunt told me to eat this and I just did.  But while I was sick all I could think about is how I needed me some Lemon Chill.   Thats what worked for me.  The hubs went straight to the store to get me some.  Now who knows if they still make this brand but he got me some and it was just like I remembered.

I have also mentioned one of the things that my mom did every night after showing.  Putting Olay cream on.  My Hailey girl already asks if she can put some on too.  I have a feelers she will end up doing this too.

Hubs to the Rescue

So I havent written in forever!  Mostly because I havent had much going on lately and because I have been sick!  I pretty much stayed in bed ALL day.  I rarely moved.  My Hubs was playing his roll as dad and  mom for a week! ( I loved)  I was pretty much glued to reading my kindle (I reread twilight, which was just as good and helped in some area's after watching the movie, I understood the characters better after watching and then re-reading) and I had the twins in bed with me.  They laid beside me rolling all over and doing tummy time and talking away to each other.  Thus started a new trend.  Well sort of it got me in the habit of not having them in there bed except for nap time.  Which is what I usually do but haha you know it was just easier having then rolling and moving in there crib with 3 other kids running around.   Its days of being knocked out being sick that I cherish my husband even more.  Not only did he take care of the kids he took care of me.  Making me meals and bringing them to me in bed.  Plus taking Ryu, Hailey and Clara to the park without me.

Both of the bigger kiddos got to go to Monster Jam.  (Each got to go on separate occasions, Which gave them a chance to have one on one with E)  We definitely plan on trying to go next year and maybe I will get to go too!  The kids absolutely loved going.  They both needed this one on one with E and E needed it just as much as they did.  Even though I didnt go Krystal captured some wonderful moments for me!!

Friday started a kick for me and E on some major cleaning.  We go our room cleaned and rearranged.  Since he was gone all Saturday with Hailey and Monster Jam Sunday we started back at it.  Which I had no intention of doing another day of it since E needed to catch up on sleep.  But we got the big kids room cleaned and organized and E even put up shelves in Hailey and Clara's rooms so they have books in there room now too.
